Ras Ghareb Gas Treatment Plant (Egypt)

Project Value/USD: $180 Million

Capacity: 15 Million Cubic Feet

Owner: Capital Gas

Partners: EGPC (Egyptian General Petroleum Company)

The company signed a contract with EGPC and GPC to build and operate a Gas Processing station in Ras Ghareb area within the premises of GPC. According to which, the company was granted a land and a daily supply of 15 mmscf/day of lean gas where both (Company and GPC) could share benefits from processing the gas.

This lean gas is transformed into: butane, propane, condensate, and sulphur. All the butane and some of the propane are combined to produce LPG, the remainder of the propane goes directly to GPC in its same form, along with the combined LPG, condensate and sulphur.

The lean gas will be supplied to the station through 4 fields (Gharib, Fanar, Shukeir 3 and El-Hamd). All flowlines from the fields to the plant already exist, except El-Hamd which is yet to be installed.
